Even if we are looking forward to fall and its chilly temperatures, with the incredible summer we had, we are a little sad that it will end soon. This festive season filled with fun cultural experiences inspired us to celebrate it the right way by attending Tremblant Wanderlust Festival!
If you didn’t know, the Wanderlust phenomenon is spreading all over North America (Portland, Boston, Brooklyn, Toronto, Philadelphia, Washington, Detroit, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa, Austin, etc.) and we are lucky that it stops in our region for a magical weekend from August 23 to 26! This is the perfect opportunity to take care of yourself and try new relaxing and inspiring activities (#metime)! This is the dose of motivation that we all need to resume good habits and regain balance before the work/school routine begins again!
Among the many workshops that await you during these 4 days focused on your well-being, you’ll obviously find yoga and meditation, but also hiking circuits, SUP, musical entertainment, culinary experiences and wine tasting with renowned chefs and Speakeasy conferences with industry leaders, including Audrey Sckoropad and Robyn Youkilis!
On our side, we have created our schedule in advance to be sure to not miss anything! Among our favorites, we first opted for the Café Con Leche with Geneviève Guérard, former first dancer of Les Grands Ballets canadiens! An energizing flow workshop is waiting for us on Saturday morning to start the day in force, but softly like a good latte! We then continue our day with RAD Roll & Release to learn self massage techniques to reduce our stress and tension anywhere and anytime in our daily lives. We’ll also try Unshakeable, a yoga workshop inspired by sessions at mountains summits to ground ourselves while developing the strength and stability of our foundations.
The Wanderlust Listening Room has also captured our attention for a unique musical experience. Comfort, serenity, dimmed lights and a tide of pillows to rest and be carried away by the music of a live artist is what you are looking for to end your day perfectly and smoothly! It’s the small dose of relaxation you’ll need to recharge your batteries before the return of the Silent Disco, a unique experience of its kind! Be ready for 3 dance nights with 3 epic DJs! Among the headliners not to be missed, DJ Seriousblack, Jesse Blake will be there to make you groove all night!
On Sunday, we also have some nice surprises, such as the Therapeutic Thai Massage Workshop. We have just returned from a trip to Asia and we couldn’t be more pleased than being immersed again in Thai culture. Relaxation, meditation and well-being are at the center of this practice to give you invaluable tools to continue to take care of yourself at home and practice self-love everyday. We will then finish the weekend with Soulscape, a yoga workshop under the melodies of Nina Simone. It’s a new day, it’s a new life and I’m feeling good!
This year, the festival increases the happiness factor by advocating a zero waste approach throughout the event to respect the environment. All staff, teachers and musicians will receive a reusable water bottle and thermo glass, as well as a reusable set of utensils. Participants will also be able to purchase these items to design their own set. An inspiring initiative that will make all the difference! We love it!
